In this case…..yes!
These access gates are too heavy for the posts that support them, as well as they are on uneven ground. When they were installed, the posts were vertical, perfectly straight up. Over a couple of years, the weight of the gates have tilted the posts making the gates uneven, left to drag on the ground when opening. This is a common problem that we find when replacing swing gates for KEG Gates. The KEG vertical lift gate eliminates sagging issues. KEG Gates are constructed to be placed on uneven terrain. The other bonus of the KEG Gate is that it is a vertical gate which eliminates the stress of shoveling around the gate to open it. I personally appreciate the aesthetics of the KEG Gate as it folds up and lets nature be the center of attention – not the clunky gate.
